Our Commitment

Blue Lagoon Insurance Services, LLC is committed to making blisins.com accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.

Our Target Standard

We design and test this site toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is our target; the review described below does not establish full conformance.

WCAG 2.2 AA includes requirements for:

• Sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements
• Keyboard navigation for all interactive controls (menus, forms, modals, accordions)
• Screen reader compatibility using semantic HTML and ARIA labels where appropriate
• Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements
• Captions and text alternatives for non-text content
• Accessible forms with clear labels, error messages, and input guidance
• Controls for applicable motion and automatic updates

What We Have Done

This site uses accessibility as a core design and development requirement:

• Semantic HTML structure with correct heading hierarchy
• Keyboard-accessible navigation, including a “Skip to main content” link
• Visible keyboard focus styles
• Mobile navigation with a focus trap and Escape-to-close behavior
• Forms with visible labels, inline error messages, and step-transition announcements
• Cookie consent controls with keyboard navigation and labeled preferences
• Animations that respect the prefers-reduced-motion user preference
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative images excluded from the reading experience
• Accessibility improvements built into the site's controls and content

Our October 2, 2026 Review

We reviewed the public page inventory, shared page layouts, image alternatives, navigation, and quote forms. The review combined automated page-structure checks, source review, and manual browser interaction. Completed checks included:

• Keyboard navigation, dialog closing and focus return, form error links, and retention of form details when going back or retrying
• Firefox at 200% zoom, narrow screens, and portrait and landscape layouts
• Increased line, paragraph, letter, and word spacing without clipped text in the reviewed page layouts
• Browser contrast overrides, including visible cookie preference states and the selected business search option

Known Limitations

Compatibility evaluation is ongoing. We have not yet verified spoken screen reader feedback. Page-structure checks and individual browser tests cannot establish full WCAG conformance or identify every accessibility barrier.
