Blue Lagoon Insurance Services, LLC is committed to making blisins.com accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.

Our Target Standard

We design and test this site toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG 2.2 is the latest published W3C Recommendation in the WCAG 2 series.

WCAG 2.2 AA includes requirements for:

• Sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements
• Keyboard navigation for all interactive controls (menus, forms, modals, accordions)
• Screen reader compatibility using semantic HTML and ARIA labels where appropriate
• Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements
• Captions and text alternatives for non-text content
• Accessible forms with clear labels, error messages, and input guidance
• Support for users who prefer reduced motion

What We Have Done

This site uses accessibility as a core design and development requirement:

• Semantic HTML structure with correct heading hierarchy
• Keyboard-accessible navigation, including a “Skip to main content” link
• A focus-visible ring on all interactive elements
• Mobile navigation with a focus trap and Escape-to-close behavior
• Forms with visible labels, inline error messages, and step-transition announcements
• Cookie consent controls that are fully keyboard and screen-reader operable
• Animations that respect the prefers-reduced-motion user preference
• Alt text on all meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately
• No accessibility overlays or third-party “accessibility widgets” — only real code

Known Limitations

Our release process includes automated WCAG checks, keyboard testing, responsive testing, focus-management review, and reduced-motion testing. Automated tools cannot identify every accessibility barrier, and no single test can represent every browser and assistive-technology combination.

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some third-party content and future additions may not yet meet our standard. If you find a barrier, tell us using the contact below and we will address it.

Browser and Assistive Technology Support

The site is designed for current versions of major browsers and standards-based assistive technologies. Results can vary by browser, operating system, settings, and assistive technology. Please contact us if a particular combination creates a barrier.
